A fast-growing UK FinTech was spending 40 hours of analyst time every week manually compiling regulatory reports for the FCA. The process involved extracting data from six different systems, reconciling it in spreadsheets, and formatting it to meet FCA submission requirements.

We built an automated data pipeline that extracts, transforms, and loads data from all six source systems into a central reporting data warehouse. A custom reporting engine then generates FCA-compliant reports automatically on the required submission schedule.

The pipeline includes comprehensive data validation and exception alerting, so the compliance team is immediately notified of any data quality issues rather than discovering them during manual review.

The project was delivered in 10 weeks across two phases: data pipeline first, then the reporting engine and compliance dashboard.

The automated pipeline reduced the weekly regulatory reporting workload from 40 hours to under 2 hours — freeing four analysts for higher-value work. The elimination of manual errors and the time saving translated to an annual saving of over £2M in analyst time and error remediation costs.

The compliance team now has real-time visibility of data quality issues and the CFO has a live dashboard of the company's regulatory position at all times.
